IP PBX Price in Bangladesh: What Affects the Cost
"How much does an IP PBX cost in Bangladesh?" is usually the first question businesses ask when they replace an old PABX or set up a new office. The honest answer is that it depends on a handful of clear factors: how the system is deployed, how many people use it, which phones you choose and how many calls you make.
This guide explains each cost factor in plain language, and gives practical tips to keep the total cost down.
Two ways to pay: hosted or on-premise
The biggest factor in IP PBX price is where the system runs.
- Hosted (cloud) IP PBX: the PBX runs in a data center and you pay a fixed monthly fee. There is no server to buy, so the upfront cost is low.
- On-premise IP PBX: the PBX runs on a server in your office. You pay once for the server, setup and configuration, and then for support. It costs more at the start, but gives you full control over call data.
Our guide on hosted vs on-premise PBX compares the two in detail.
Hosted IP PBX pricing
Hosted IP PBX plans are priced per month for your country, based on extensions, SIP trunks and channels, IVR, call recording and call volume. Every plan can be customized. Request a quote and we reply within 24 hours.
What affects the cost of an IP PBX
1. Number of users (extensions)
Each person or desk that makes and receives calls needs an extension. More extensions mean a larger package on a hosted PBX, or more server capacity and phones on an on-premise system. Count the users you have today and the ones you expect over the next year or two.
2. Phones: desk phones, softphones or mobile apps
IP desk phones are a one-time hardware cost per user. Softphone apps on computers and mobile apps cost much less, and they are ideal for staff who work remotely or move around. Many offices use a mix: desk phones at reception and for heavy callers, apps for everyone else.
3. Trunks, phone numbers and SIP channels
A trunk connects your PBX to the outside phone network and comes with a phone number. The number of SIP channels sets how many outside calls can happen at the same time. A small office may need only a few channels, while a sales team or help desk needs more.
4. Call charges
Outside calls are billed per minute. If your team makes a lot of outgoing calls, the call rate matters as much as the monthly fee. A larger package with a lower per-minute rate can work out cheaper overall.
5. Features: IVR, recording and integrations
Basic calling is included everywhere. Costs grow with what you add on top: more IVR menus, longer call recording storage, call center features such as queues and live monitoring, and integration with your CRM or other business software.
6. Server, power backup and network (on-premise only)
An on-premise IP PBX needs a reliable server, UPS power backup and a network that gives voice traffic priority (QoS). If your office already has a server room and a good network, this part costs less.
7. Setup and support
Setup includes planning your call flows, configuring extensions and IVR, and testing. After go-live, ongoing support keeps the system updated, monitored and backed up. A hosted PBX includes most of this in the monthly fee.
How to keep IP PBX costs down
- Start with the right size. Choose a package for your current team and move up when you grow.
- Use softphones and mobile apps where a desk phone isn't really needed.
- Match SIP channels to real call volume, not to the number of users.
- Check your outgoing call minutes. If you call a lot, compare the per-minute rates of each package.
- Keep recordings only as long as you need them, and add longer storage only for teams that require it.
